This is a device driver program for Amiga & PC/AT Emulator
boards, enabling Amiga side access PC Network cards. The device
driver requires only a packet driver for your network card.
(This should be included with your network card driver disk,
archive contains a free NE*000 compatible packet driver).
EmuNet is released as *FREEWARE* , there is no limitation to
the use of it for noncommercial purposes.
This is version 0.9 Beta released for public testing.
Please send suggestions bug reports to atemel@hotmail.com
As with the latest AmiCDEx release (it is a CD-ROM driver for
PC side with the same programming concept) this device driver
has also support for Vortex/Goldengate PC Emulator boards.
(Please test this feature and report to me, since I do not
have such a board).
------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a list of the main features of EmuNet, to let you
see at a glance what it can do for you.
------------------------------------------------------------
0.8 BETA
- Works with Workbench 2 or 3
- Uses PC/AT Network card to interface to Amiga TCP/IP stack.
- Tested with AmiTCP 4.0 DEMO and a Linux/W95 box.
- Many options to optimize transfer speed.
- Well for the first beta what do you expect more ? :-)
------------------------------------------------------------
0.9 BETA
- Primary update: Speed.. :) I mean it.. The speed that
the driver achieves has doubled/tripled since the 0.8BETA
release.
- Cleaned up the source code both for the PC side & the
Amiga device driver.
- Added new options as well as a new program to let the
device driver 'read' configuration while it is up
and running.
Added 'stest' program to measure the raw TCP/IP transfer
speed between various hosts.
